President Grant was the General of the Army, or 5 star General, during the Civil War. He was in the Army for a very long time.

His parents named him, Hiram Ulyssess Grant and called him Hiram, Ulyssess, or Lyss. When he was five years old he could stand and a horse's back for a long time.He was born in Point Pleasant, Ohio.

He was connned by cheats and liars and scandels rocked his administrations.
He put his money into a life savings banking firm. Then his partner took all the money. Then, since he was poor he
wrote a book about his life. Then he thought he would make copies and sell them to get money back.

Grant died July 23, 1885.
